Salman Khan In Lai Bhaari Promo!!

With Lai Bhaari, Riteish Deshmukh makes his debut as an actor in Marathi films. Playing a prominent role in the Nishikant Kamat-directed film, he believes that the movie introduces the Marathi film industry to a new wave of cinema. "I have never seen a film like this before, it is larger than life. For Marathi cinema, this genre of action drama has never been explored," says Riteish.

The actor plays Mauli, an orphan and a modern day Robin Hood, who fights injustice and helps the poor. Says Jeetendra Thackeray, the head of Cine Mantra Entertainment and the film's producer, "The film has been made keeping box office in mind."

Adds producer Shalini Thackeray, "We have made a hardcore entertainer by using all the formulae, which are rarely found in Marathi films. We don't want to treat Marathi audience strictly as the thinking audience, who are fed only intellectual or dark films. We are aiming at action-packed films with a regular hero, who can do everything. Larger-than-life treatment cannot be restricted to just Hindi or South movies." Lai Bhaari has also been produced by Ameya Khopkar and Genelia Deshmukh.

Superstar Salman Khan who is gearing up for his next mega release kick has done a cameo in Marathi movie Lai Bhaari starring Riteish Deshmukh in the lead.

Showing gratitude towarsds the Bollywood superstar, Riteish Deskmukh tweeted, "Correction: Salman Khan never approached me for a role - but he graciously offered to be a part of #LaiBhaari - #Respect"

Lai Bhaari is Riteish Deskmukh's debut Marathi movie as an actor and he will be seen fighting goons and mouthing dialogues in Salman style in this action-packed flick.

Incidentally, it will be Salman's first brush with Marathi medium, too.

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film is co-produced by Riteish's banner Mumbai Film Company and Cinemantra Entertainment.

The movie will release July 11.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh is leaving no stone unturned to promote his debut Marathi film 'Lai Bhaari'. After promoting the film at various events, he is doing the same on the most popular soap operas of Marathi television.

Sources close to the makers of 'Lai Bhaari' inform, "Riteish will promote his film on the reality comedy show 'Fu Bai Fu'. The episode is expected to be telecast next week. He will be seen in another reality show 'Home Minister' which has a huge female following." Sources inform that Riteish recently shot with the cast of the daily soaps 'Honar Sun Mi Ya Gharchi' and 'Julun Yeti Reshimgathi'. "Riteish will be seen in 'Honar Sun Mi Ya Gharchi'. He recently shot for his portions. Whether he will come as Riteish or Mauli is something to watch out for. It is yet to be decided as to when the episode will be telecast. Things are still in progress with 'Julun Yeti Reshimgathi'," informs

Synopsis:

The film revolves around a tapori boy named Mauli and how he fights against injustice.

Actor turned producer Riteish Deshmukh is making his acting debut in the Marathi film industry with 'Lai Bhaari'. The film is an action drama, where Riteish is playing the lead role. His character name is Mauli.

Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat, who has made films like 'Dombivali Fast' and 'Force', has directed this film. Nishikant is known for his expertise in the field of filmmaking and from the promos of 'Lai Bhaari' we can see that he has made a film that will appeal to all sections in the society. 

Radhika Apte is the lead heroine of the film. Cast opposite Riteish, the actress is seen dancing to the Holi song with full energy. Radhika has done a number of films in the Hindi and Marathi industry. She did a thumri in Gajjendra Ahirey's 'Postcard' and was appreciated for her role in the Hindi film 'Shor in the city'. The onscreen chemistry between Riteish and Radhika is something to look forward to. 

Tv actor Sharad Kelkar in an interview, had said, "As the name suggests the film is total entertainment. It has been fun shooting for the film."Sharad plays the baddie in the film. His character name 'Sangram'. The film is a must watch for its action sequences. 

Actress Tanvi Azmi who has been a part of Bollywood films like 'Darr', 'Aarakshan' and the recent 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' will be seen playing Riteish's mother in this film'.

Late actress Usha Kiran's daughter Tanvi's last outing in Marathi films was 'Rao Saheb' way back in 1986. Post that she got extremely busy with Hindi films and television. 

Genelia Deshmukh, wife of Riteish is co-producing the film. The young energetic actress who is also expecting her first child, made her appearance during the film's music launch

The highlight of the movie is the presence of Salman Khan in the film. Buzz has it that the actor will be seen in a cameo. Now whether it is a dance sequence or a fight scene, only time will tell.
